ronald mcdonald house

Alpha Delta Pi loves to get involved in our community and help out in any way that we can. Our international philanthropy is the Ronald McDonald House Charities (RMHC). Ronald McDonald Houses are located around the world and serve as a home to children and their families while they undergo treatment at nearby hospitals.

We are incredibly honoured to have British Columbia's Ronald McDonald House located close to campus, enabling us to interact closely with the organization. We visit the house on a weekly basis, cook dinners for the families staying in the house, and carry out themed events such as Halloween dress-up parties and Christmas tree decorating.

We also hold various fundraisers throughout the year to raise money for the cause, such as our annual charity softball tournament, Diamond Ball. Over 20 campus teams participate on the playing field and join in games and bakes sales. Every year this event is a huge success and a fun time for everyone!

This June the sisters of Alpha Delta Pi also completed the Ronald McDonald Step Up For Families Challenge where we collectively walked/ran/ biked 73km in order to help raises money and provide a few nights stay for families at the Ronald McDonald House!

Want to learn more or get involved? Check out the RMHC BC website.

We're always looking for more charities to support throughout the year with numerous different philanthropy events. If you think we could help your organization with donations or volunteer hours, please contact Ali.
