about adpi

FIRST

The Adelphean Society was founded on May 15th, 1851 at Wesleyan Female College in Macon, Georgia. This society was the first secrety society for women, creating the phrase "First, Finest, Forever." Our name was later changed to Alpha Delta Pi and we eventually joined the National Panhellenic Conference as one of 26 different sororities.

Membership in Alpha Delta Pi means improving ourselves in leadership, scholarship, sisterhood, and service to others. For 165 years, Alpha Delta Pi has been an ever-growing sisterhood, a creation of a family that were once strangers, and a home away from home. Being a part of this organization means graduating as a better person than you were when you first walked onto campus. We encourage and support each others' goals and dreams, and we value character above all else. Over 235,000 women call Alpha Delta Pi home in more than 148 active Chapters internationally.

forever

Being a member of Alpha Delta Pi does not end with graduation. With over 150 alumnae associations, your sisterhood and membership experiences truly last a lifetime. Whether it's through reminiscing on fond memories, having your sisters as bridesmaids, or attending Chapter events as an alumna, being a diamond is forever.

OUR chapter

The Beta Kappa Chapter of Alpha Delta Pi was founded at the University of British Columbia in 1931 and we are currently only one of two Canadian Chapters. As a Chapter, we are dedicated to the values of scholarship, leadership, sisterhood, and service, and we strive to implement such principles into our daily lives as Alpha Delta Pi women.
